Nawabshah (Press Release): Pehal Pakistan (NGO) organized a significant program on 21-8-2025 at RT Hotel, Zero Point Nawabshah, on the theme “Legal Rights and Protection of Minorities.”
The event commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran, a Christian prayer, and the Hindu Gayatri Mantra.
Representatives from the Christian, Hindu, and Sikh communities, along with local NGOs from Nawabshah, actively participated in the program.
Mr. Deedar Ahmed Miran (CEO) delivered a detailed presentation while Mr. Samson Salamat Chairman, Rawadari Tehreek Pakistan, highlighted the challenges faced by minorities and their legal rights.
Lalchand.B.Lohano, President PIMRC Nawabshah presented following 11 demands which were unanimously approved by the participants.
- Fully implement the Supreme Court’s 19 June 2014 judgment by Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani for the protection of minorities.
- Establish Independent Minority Protection Committees at provincial and district levels to address grievances swiftly.
- Introduce strict legislation against forced conversions and ensure its enforcement.
- Include the history and contributions of minority communities in school textbooks.
- To delete poisoning material against minorities from Text books.
- To stop misusing of Blasphemy laws in entire country.
- To remove illegal encroachments from religious and private properties of Minorities in the light of Honourable Supreme Court order in HR case 75077/2018
- To appoint the post of chairman, ETB from Minority as per remarks of the honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan.
- To observe 5% quota in appointment and in higher education.
- Reform Electoral system specifically for Minorities in constitution by permitting them right of dual vote at district and division level.
- Release of Prya Kumari.
The two-hour-long event concluded with a collective prayer, symbolizing unity and harmony. Special pray for strengthen and peace of our beloved country Pakistan.
